NZS 8134:2008 Health and disability services Standards is mandatory for those health and disability service providers that are subject to the Health and Disability Services (Safety) Act 2001. This Standard is also mandatory for relevant service-based contracts that receive health funding. Where this Standard is not a requirement, its application will promote good and safe practice by providers for consumers. NZS 8134.0:2008 Health and disability services (general) Standard contains general and reference information for the NZS 8134:2008 Health and disability services Standards, including definitions and the audit framework. It should be read in conjunction with Parts 1, 2, and 3. NZS 8134 Parts 0 to 3 are sold as a loose-leaf set, for use in a binder. Each part can also be purchased separately.
