This Handbook provides emergency response information for dealing safely with accidents, spills, leaks or fires in which dangerous goods are involved. Information on hazards, protective clothing and emergency procedures is given. It can be used for the transport and storage of all types of dangerous goods. The revision has been modified to: suit New Zealand conditions; update the UN Numbers and Proper Shipping Names-Technical Names to the 12th revised edition of the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods; and identify those UN numbers which have become obsolete. These UN numbers and Proper Shipping Names-Technical Names are cross referenced in the appropriate emergency response Guides.
