Deals with the safety of electric clothes dryers for drying textiles on racks located in a warm airflow, clothes dryers intended for drying footwear or gloves and to electric towel rails, for household and similar purposes, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V. The clothes racks can be fixed or free-standing in a cabinet. The air circulation can be natural or forced. The 2018 edition will supersede AS/NZS 60335.2.43:2005 on 30 November 2021. Identical to, but excludes the text of, IEC 60335-2-43 Ed 4 (2017).
