This Handbook has been prepared to provide additional information to support the introduction of the AS/NZS 3000 series of Standards cited by the Electricity Regulations. The citation of the AS/NZS 3000 series of Standards introduces a number of key changes to the technical requirements applying to the design, construction, inspection and testing of electrical installations in particular, the establishment of more detailed fundamental safety requirements, and the introduction of further measures to protect against electric shock. This Handbook can also be used to provide supplementary information to the existing teaching guidelines for the electrical installation industry.
