Specifies requirements for cots for day nursery, hospital and institutional use. These requirements include material, design, construction, performance, labelling and marking, all relating to safety of the child within the cot. The Standard applies to cots constructed of metal or plastic, but not timber cots due to the nature of the intended environment and the need for ease of cleaning. The Standard does not specify requirements for folding cots.
